Unlike other hardware products the
VERSATILE MountTM
allows for
streamlined installations of an array of
fixed wireless (Broadband) and Direct Broadcast
Satellite (DBS) antennas at individual subscriber
locations having concrete roofs. Some key benefits of
the
VERSATILE MountTM
include:
-
Non-damaging and can be attached to concrete tiles
without drilling or use of epoxy or special tools.
-
Made of high quality steel and powder coat finished
for ever lasting corrosion resistance.
-
Assembled in less than 5 minutes by professional
installers or do-it-yourselfers.
-
Affordable and may be customized for particular
equipment support needs.

A:
The VM2000 - our most popular model of the
VERSATILE MountTM, is a “two-tile” mounting base that
has been engineered for use with common antenna foots (rhino
horns) to site most consumer-grade antennas up to 24” in
diameter. A multitude of antennas ranging from planar
arrays (flat panels), LNBY’s, dipoles, parabolics and
mini-dishes commonly used by WISPs and DBS companies can be
effectively supported by a
VERSATILE MountTM. |

A: Specific manufacturer’s installation instructions are
included with each unit shipped from our warehouse. The
VERSATILE MountTM
is compatible with all primary styles of standard weight
concrete tiles such as flat, low and high profile tiles,
and can be simply installed in 3 basic steps:
Step
1 - Select Your Spot.
Step
2 - Ready the VERSATILE MountTM
Step
3 - Secure the Assembly. |

A:
The
VERSATILE MountTM
attaches directly to concrete roofs, which are more
durable and offer far superior resistance to wind and
other extreme weather conditions than any other roof
surfacing material. The weight of the individual tiles
and the single standard fastening (interlocking)
measures helps to keep the tiles securely in place in
areas with wind speeds up to 80 miles per hour. In areas
of higher winds, there are alternative fastening methods
that can be utilized to withstand up to 140 mile per
hour wind speeds.
In select areas designated by the building official as
high wind regions, all tiles must be mechanically
fastened at all slopes. In isolated cases, these
ancillary devices could prohibit the ease of use
of this product. But all things considered, the
VERSATILE MountTM
is a very viable
antenna-mounting tool that quite simply, WORKS! |

A:
First of all, roof tile has been used successfully
throughout history, from Neolithic China to present day
North America. Travel anywhere in the world from Asia,
Europe and South America and you'll find beautiful tile
roofs, often on very simple structures. Furthermore, tile
roofs have withstood some of the most hazardous weather
conditions on Earth: fire, windstorms, earthquakes, hail,
sub-zero temperatures, hurricanes, and scorching heat.
Secondly, concrete roof tile is made of cement, sand, water
and oxides for color. These raw materials are precisely
mixed to ensure consistency, extruded through a
high-pressure section onto shaped molds, which are then cut
into individual tiles having nail holes stamped into them.
As
a result of this detailed manufacturing process, concrete
tile has a product life cycle that is proven to become even
stronger with age unlike most other roof surfacing
materials. |

A:
Standard weight concrete roof tile is a much more prevalent
roofing product than are fragile clay tiles, which are
normally used on very high-end custom homes. When
installed, concrete tiles “interlock” with one another like
a puzzle, whereas clay tiles typically require a visible bed
of mortar to be sandwiched between adjoining tiles. Also on
the market to a much lesser extent are “lightweight”
concrete tiles that are primarily used for re-roofing
projects on older homes.
All
of these tiles have decidedly different physical properties
even though they are tested to the same ASTM standards in
most cases. Some of the chief advantages of concrete tile
over clay tile are the greater color and profile selection,
lower installed cost and better walkability representing the
primary reasons why it proliferates building communities
across the Southwestern United States and Canada. |

A:
One of the principle advantages of using the
VERSATILE MountTM
– is that under most
site conditions you’ll never have to walk on the roof.
If an installer must walk on the roof to enhance
line-of-sight conditions of the subscriber unit, he/she
should exercise due caution. Any sloped surface can be
dangerous to walk on and may be slippery if the roof is
wet, frosted, ice or snow covered.
For
safety purposes - stay on the lower third of each tile
where your weight is transferred straight onto the roof
deck. Avoid stepping on the cut tiles on the hips or
valleys and the thin area where the tiles interlock side
to side. Most professionals know that if they are going
to spend an extraordinary amount of time on a tile roof,
they should put down sheets of plywood to dissipate
their weight and movements over a large section of roof
tiles.

A:
Under most circumstances the
VERSATILE MountTM
can be used to support many antennas used with various
wireless access delivery systems, regardless of location.
FCC rule 47 C.F.R., Section 1.4000, as amended, prohibits
restrictions that impair a person’s ability to install,
maintain, or use a fixed-wireless service antenna.
The
rule applies to state or local laws or regulations,
including zoning, land use or building regulations, private
covenants, homeowners’ association rules, condominium or
cooperative association restrictions, lease restrictions, or
similar restrictions on property where the user has
ownership or a leasehold interest in the property.
